I haven't spent a weekend at my own house for a while now. I was at my dads house last weekend and my little sister had a sleepover at my mom's boyfriend's house with his daughter and a few other friends the weekend before that. I spent the night at a friends but he can be a douche and I would rather be alone (introversion is ahell of a thing). My mom has no problem with me staying home during the day for as many as 8 hours. They're having another sleepover this weekend and I'd like some advice in convincing my mom to let me stay home. I'm not going to be doing anything I wouldn't do while she was here. I don't give her a reason not to trust me so I'm generally given a fair amount of independence. Hmmph.

Her reason for not letting me stay the last time is that if any thing happens to me she would be in trouble and I could be "taken away" :/. I have no idea if she is over exaggerating or not.

I really don't think its about not trusting you. its prob more about if something happens and shes not there leagally she would be in alot of trouble.

Yeah, i actually won this fight, but i blew it by having girls over when i was supposed to be staying the night alone. You need to explain what you want and what your reasons are and try and sit down with her to talk about her fears and who knows maybe she will give you a shot.
