i dont think so......cuz i understand that they attacked Pearl harbor.....but you also have to remember the japanese citizens who were innocent people.....you are dropping a bomb to that magnitude, that killed so many, that deformed alot of people.

this was one part that i agree on. like think about it you made a deal with a country to end a war, then they backstab you. i would have done the same.

But at least we would have fought in the rules.
We killed innocent civilians just so we could end the war quick and spare some soldiers lives.
We should have fought the war like a war should be fought.
At no time should a cavilian ever be involved.

Austin, it was a mistake. Lots of people were for it, and lots of people are against it. It was ment to end the most retarded war ever.
Be nicer to America.

the atomic bomb was one of the worst things ever created by man...no country shud have the power to wipe out cities and destroy inocent people and then infect the suvivors for generations to come, no good can ever come of it.

The bomb dropping was actually a US reaction to the success of the Russians in meeting their objectives in the Allied War. Russia had already marched into Berlin by this time, and their armies were poised to invade Japan. Not wishing this to happen, due to the post-war geopolitical implications of such a thing, the US administration hastened to use the atomic bomb.

Development and use of the atomic weapon was also a fantastic way to place the US in a powerful economic and political position - a position from which they could steer world events for the next century.

Incidentally, by the time Hitler had sent troops to attack Stalingrad, the German attempt at building the nuclear weapon had collapsed, mainly due to a lack of resources. It is suspected that some of their top scientists also played a role in deliberately delaying the development of the weapon. The U.S. continued development, knowing that the atomic bomb would yield supremacy in world affairs after the war.

this debate, is from July 12, 2005. though not necessary resolved, its old and dead, lets leave it dead, if you want to talk about nuclear bombs, then start a topic about nuclear bombs, but truthfully, 90% of all people, hate nuclear bombs, and don't think anyone has the right to use them. LOCKING
