So I've know this girl for basically my entire life, however we became best friends about a year or so ago. I never really had feelings for her until about 4 weeks ago after drawling a picture of her for art class. Anyways, recently we have been hanging out with friends almost every weekend. Basically life is good, except I can't stop thinking about her. Everyone says we should date/ such a cute couple/ so cute together. Which I guess planted the thought into my mind, and apparently hers too as we have jokingly talked about it. We are both Christians and we definitely aren't going to screw or anything, she has a purity or chastity ring and I respect that. But my issue is I don't want to ruin the friendship if things go wrong.
I'm torn because even though most of the other girls I know who I've asked about this say no way don't date her you'll ruin it, I'm still leaning toward trying it out. Btw neither of us have really been in any serious type of relationship.
I need advice, before I make a decision...
I'm Alex btw first time on here!:D

Well it sounds like you have really strong feelings for this girl and losing her forever is something you're gonna have to be willing to risk. I was actually in the same position you are in now a few years ago. My former best friend (We're now bf/gf AND best friends) and I hooked up when I was 13 and she was 12 and about to turn 13. We have always been honest and nice to eachother.

Thing is unlike in your situation where your going to be in school for another few years, we are both 17 almost 18 and in August we will be going off to differen't universities, granted they are only 30 miles apart its still a large gap.
I guess what I'm really asking is, what do I do with the emotions I have for her?
I have already kind of told her that I have feelings for her and she feels the same way, but we just haven't attempted to take a step yet.
ALL opinions and comments are appreciated! Thanks for the advice

if you don't try you'll always wonder if it would work out or not. so, I'd go for it

I think you should just remain friends if you don't think a long distance relationship will work. I know itll be tough to keep your emotions bottled up like that but it seems like the best idea in my opinion.
