I just got done reading the thread (bans )everyone should read it to . I under stand that members get banned because they were bad ok ! Then you say don't contact them off vitural teen for our own safety this is very good ( Skype , msn , aim,yahoo ,text an so on ) ! Now my question : why is it that the banned members page will still show there contact information for there friends an other members to see still an posable go off vt an contact them ? Yes I understand we should not nor will I and hope no members will do it either . please be safe when contacting members off vitural teen everyone .

Probably because the banned members page shows all the information that the members put up on their profiles before they were banned, and it's just another useless job for the mods to have to sort through bans and delete the contact info.

I may be wrong though.

Yes i no mods are busy an do great at there jobs sure they don't need more to do . Just thinking about the safety mostly of new members .

It's kind of obvious that if someone has been banned it is because they are a) a pedophile, spambot etc (not a teen,) b) have been trolling or bashing (are generally assholes) or c) have broken some other rule such as asking to cam, posting inappropriate pictures etc. If you look for and deliberately contact a banned member with this knowledge then you're walking into a situation that is obviously risky.

I'm sure depending on the reason of the ban, such as the user being a pedophile, the information would be removed. If they were banned for..say, excessive rudeness, I'm sure they won't be fun to talk to, but you can still talk to them.

Only administrators have the permissions to remove personal contact information from the contact fields, and these are not automatically removed when we ban someone.
If we feel a member was banned because it would be unsafe for others to remain in contact with them, their contact information will be removed. However, it's always in your best interest to never contact anyone who has been banned from the forums since you never know what they may have done.


Also, I'm going to close your other thread in the "Suggestions" Forum since this is asking the same question.
