. . . between an admin and a mod?

Administrators control all aspects of the site, and have access to the Admin Control Panel, which is basically the "backbone" of the forums. They are in charge of all the other moderators on the site. They can do everything all other moderators can as well.

Global Moderators are "senior" moderators. We can moderate any forum (like the admins), and do all the actions that regular moderators can. On top of that, we have more advanced actions, such as banning users and pruning threads.

The Administrators and Global Moderators together form the senior staff of the site, and work together to choose new moderators and make improvements on the site.

Moderators (those with green names), can only moderate certain sections (forums), of the site. They too can move, delete, merge, lock, etc... posts and threads, but not to the same degree as Gmods and Admins can. They give out infractions, (like any other moderator would), and make sure all their sections are in order.

All staff members are volunteers who receive no financial compensation for their help towards running this site. They can be distinguished from normal members by title and rank image. Staff members do not have any numbers in their rank images (excluding "New" and "Banned").

Administrators and global moderators are staff members who can moderate any forum on Virtual Teen. Administrators maintain all aspects and functions of the site.

Moderators can only moderate certain forums. If you have an issue in which a normal moderator is unable to help, try contacting a global moderator or administrator.

While the staff of this website manage posts and events among the forums, each person is still a member - meaning any staff member can post their own opinion, leave positive or negative reputation, and any other privileges registered members have been given. However, all will always maintain a position of authority.

Do not ask to be a staff member. Asking does not improve your chances of becoming one. Staff members are chosen by behavior, demonstrated maturity and trustworthiness, and knowledge pertaining to a particular forum and its subject. Openings may be posted, or an administrator may privately seek a potential candidate.

d'oh! and i read the FAQ! but i was focused on content and guidelines. now i can't mock other people for not reading the FAQ and asking stuff they should know the answer to. :whoops:
hey i just thot of something. if FAQ means Frequently Asked Questions then shouldn't the FAQ have "is my penis size normal?" and "is it normal to mess around with my friend" and "does it make me gay to mess around with my friend?" cuz you talk about some frequently asked questions! :P
