So, I'm 16, and my facial structure sucks dick. I look like Nate Silver on a really, really bad day. I have decent enough core features, great eyes/smile, etc, but it's the cheeks that are killin' me. Don't really have any cheekbones, so it's just eyes/nose/mouth/large-empty-palette-of-puffy-clear-roundness. Fuck, at this point, I'd take acne just to be able to have SOMETHING on my head.

I mean, I know that face changes somewhat throughout your teenage years, but is it really enough to pronounce cheekbones and make the bottom half of your face generally smaller in proportion? If so, what age would that occur?

I haven't really noticed any drastic changes so far face-wise even though I've lost about 50lbs, but I was also pretty late to the party on everything else (voice didn't drop until I was almost 15- yeah, ouch).

My voice didn't drop until 16 and I am just now getting facial hair at 18. But your faces changes too. Boys generally have longer faces than females although this can clearly not be the case. I have always had high cheekbones, (Native American thing) and my cheeks are small.
Look it up. We all have a head shape and a face shape. I'm what they would call a diamond. Which means I have a small forehead and chin but high cheeks.

I have a big clumsy nose, and big cheeks, and a big head, and a round face, and big loving aquamarine eyes, and I look weird.... I think it's pretty natural to think you look weird...
I think you will also change in time. Don't worry about it. Girls like puffy cheeks, makes you look like a cute chipmunk. Lol :D

> makes you look like a cute chipmunk.

god fucking dammit

so what age would facial changes likely occur? I can't grow more than mediocre, gross, peachy, barely-facial hair yet, but I am starting out the whole chest hair thing (if that's any measurement of development so far)

I dunno, next 5 years maybe? Development can exceed into your twenties too.
And what's wrong with looking cute? :D

I'd be cool with it if it *did* look cute.

Kinda interested to see how facial hair will effect it as well... will probably help a good deal, both of my parents at least seem to be capable of growing some....

(sorry mom)

Just kinda sucks how puberty's all just a ten-year waiting game with non-guaranteed returns.
