Parents fighting

When your parents fight, what do you do and how do you feel? I just put headphones on and listen to really loud music.

i just go in my room shut the door and play my ps3 or ds on loud

When I was younger (around 4-5) I used to either stay under my blankets and listen to their muffled screams or go out onto the landing and fall asleep listening to them.
When they fight now it's only when they're dropping me and my sister off at the other persons house and I just tell them to stop it or shut up.
When them and their partners used to fight I'd go back to how I used to act when I was younger or listen to music really loud.

My parents fight all the time, so much that I don't really realise anymore. It's as if it's become part of the day. I used to hate it, try and stop them and everything. I got bored of that because I'd usually end up hurt. Now, I either listen in and laugh at how ridiculous they sound, or just listen to music like I always do. They don't bother me much anymore. I guess, once you get to a certain age you stop caring.

Well when my parents were together and they fought, I didn't know really what they were fighting about, but I stayed away from them as possible so I didn't have to hear them! Honestly we shouldn't really need to hear them anyways, since it is their fight, and not ours!

I also use music or sometimes i just go outside without their permission or something, then they will call me and say they wont shout on eachother anymore

When they were still together, my mom always tried not to fight around us, but on the rare occasions that they did, I don't remember it bothering me a whole lot.

Now, they only see each other when I'm getting picked up or dropped off, so if they fight, I either go to the car or stay and take my mom's side.

Mute the TV and record it (because my dad is abusive toward my mom) and I've actually been told to do that by her so if we go to court she wants evidence

When my parents fought i would go for a walk, but when my dad was more agressive i would put headphones but i stayed close to my mom, just in case.
