So, back in early December I had gone to the gynecologist for the first time. I was diagnosed with BV and a yeast infection. I was prescribed antibiotics for the BV and a 3-day treatment for the yeast infection.
Ever since then, though, I've still had some vulva itching on and off, and it always seems to hurt down there after sex, and the most recent time it even hurt during. Also, a couple days after having sex, I have burning urination. I went to the gynecologist again on January 8th. She didn't find anything but prescribed me another 3-day treatment for a yeast infection because I had symptoms of it, but no yeast was actually found. I have completed the treatment again, but no change. I'm too scared to have sex again because of the pain :( My boyfriend and I do use a condom, and I am currently on my first month of birth control.

Any ideas on what is wrong and if there is anything I can do to fix it?

you should be going back to your gyno because something could be seriously wrong
make an immediate appt.. it could be some sort of an infection... or in the most case your body is reacting to the birth control in a negative way.
best of luck

I told her all of my symptoms when I went the last time, and she just prescribed me the 3-day treatment. I'd feel bad making another appointment, because my mom already complained to me about the very first appointment I had because of the cost since our insurance sucks.

And it can't be the birth control cause I was already having these problems before I even started it.

It could be a UTI (urinary tract infection). Symptoms of that are burning/pain when urinating, feeling the need to urinate more often, itching and cloudy urine.

When I had one I found that sex hurt a little bit and that afterwards my symptoms would be worse. They are fairly common especially in sexually active women.

You just need antibiotics for that but UTIs have a high rate of resistance to antibiotics so only certain ones will work.
