Is it normal for the scrotum to tighten sometimes? Other than after climax? This happens to me sometimes and I was wondering if this is normal.
I know it is normal for the scrotum since it responds to temperature but still...

like you said temperature makes it do it. when it gets cold and all. and when i'm jerking off as i get close to cumming it gets tight and draws up. or even if i'm not close if i've been going at it a while it will get tight.

Yeah that is completely normal, your body does that so the balls are closer to the body and it is warmer, and when the testes are warmer, they are able to create semen much quicker.

YES it means that its cold and so your scrotum is pulling your testicles close to your body for warmth

Warmth affect semen production?

The other guys have already covered it, but just to back them up really. It's normal for your balls to hang higher or lower for a variety of reasons. Body temperature is one, just jump into a cold swimming pool or go bathe in the sea, in cold temperatures your scrotum will shrivel up pretty damn fast, in warm conditions you will hang lower. During sexual arousal it's normal for the scrotum to contract and for your balls to be drawn closer to your body.

yeah the scrotum is there because your testes have to be 1 degree cooler than your body so that the semen survive, idk y but thats why when you get hot they hang looser and cold is tighter up, as well as close to orgasm

You're right, the temperature does affect the scrotum, and it happens to me regularly, so no worries. :)

The Scrotum is dynamic tissue, it expands and rescinds depending on the temperature of the environment its in. It's to stop the sperm in your testes from getting too hot or too cold.

If I remember, core body tem is 37C and balls at 35C, hence they close up when it's cold and hang better on a very warm day

That's normal too? For then to move right before your eyes? I noticed that too and again no one mentioned it in health.

yeah it is completely normal, i guess when they start moving it just means that they have been activated, producing sperm and controlling their temperature and stuff. but yeah the first couple of times it was freaky haha i was really like WTF, but i wonder why they dont mention this in health class or on puberty sites.

It would scare some kids and plus since most schools are co-ed with boys and girls in the classroom, going in depth may be embarrassing and plus most students aren't mature enough to discuss puberty or are too scared to when they are going through it themselves.

yeah i guess so but its still weird when you find out for yourself, and i mean its not like its really easy to ask someone if its normal lol. i sure didnt have no idea what was going on when they first started doing that.

The optimal temperature for sperm production is slightly less than body temperature. So when it's hot, your balls hang and when it's colder they draw up. Also, if you're nervous or scared they tighten as part of the fight or flight response to make them better protected, I imagine. And, yeah, right before I cum mine sometimes crawl back up inside my body, lol.

It happens when you're in cold areas, cold rooms, cold water, after cumming, and sometimes, it just happens. I think it's normal.

Ok I'll try to simplify this as much as possible for you to understand. Firstly when you are masturbating the seminal fluids start to build up at the base of the penis where the urethral bulb is. This gives the feeling that your about to ejaculate. When you reach orgasm and you climax, the testicles tighten up to your body and your urinary tract, shuts down so that your ejaculate can exit from your penis rather than your bladder. This is why your scrotum tightens up. Also take into account the muscle spams from climaxing. Hope this helps to answer your question.
