well if its a one of those hip hop dance than just go up to her and start dancing with her but if its like a prom type of a dance than go up to her hold out your hand and ask her to dance with you

Honestly, just talk to her. Go up and ask her if she wants to go to the dance with you, don't make it harder than it has to be. If she says yes, then make sure you two work out how you're getting there and what time and all that--and she'll probably want to coordinate clothing of some sort depending on what kind of dance it is. Make sure you do it early on, before someone else asks her. And, I'm hoping that it's a girl who you actually know, not someone who you've only talked to like once. Because if it's someone you actually do know, and you make it clear you're just going as friends, you'll be much more likely to get a positive response. ok im not ranting but i am going to add one little thing than ill shut up but when its a hip hop dance she might just get up and go dance and when shes out there just join in but when its like a prom dance than you give out the hand and ask to dance
