The buzz is spreading virally as well, as a Stuff.TV article on the tablet (http://www.stuff.tv/news/computers-and-consoles/news-nugget/%E2%80%9Cpapertab%E2%80%9D-paper-tablet-is-your-flexible-friend) rose to the front page of Reddit (http://www.reddit.com) Wednesday, prompting hundreds of users (http://www.reddit.com/r/technology/comments/1693zi/this_107in_paperthin_eink_tablet_is_pretty_damn/) to read about the device, many of whom offered positive comments about the possibilities created by the advent of such a groundbreaking technology.According to Information Week (http://www.informationweek.com/hardware/handheld/ces-2013-papertab-tablet-boasts-flexible/240145766), PaperTab was developed via a partnership between tech giant Intel (http://www.intel.com), researchers at the Queen's University Human Media Lab (http://www.hml.queensu.ca/) in Canada and the English tech company Plastic Logic (http://www.plasticlogic.com/), all of whom worked together to conceptualize, design and manufacture a working model of a flexible-touchscreen tablet that uses the power of hand gestures to control the device's functions, from sending emails to leafing through documents.

Notes from MB(MysticalBurrito):
It's honestly a revolutionary piece of technology, I think with this we would be able to store our tablets in a more convenient manner and not have to carry around something that can be hard to store at times, even though it is using a black and white display it could probably be upgraded to a color display and have tremendous upgrades made as technology advances eventually we could be looking these playing high performance games like Black ops 3 or being used by industries. This really opens some doors to more flexible technology. and proof of concept, flexible phones could make it here this year or even next year.

It's not very appealing to me.

yeah, It still needs some work but the prototype works, there will probably a nicer version somewhere down the line.

Mother of God.....I suppose it was a matter of time. Give it a year, and Apple will make the exact same thing, and then sue these people.

Not convinced here either. The idea of moving objects between different devices with various gestures isn't new, and will be useful. As for multiple devices of this type we have multi-window interfaces to cope with the need for multiple screens and associated real world clutter that this would entail.

At a glance, I honestly think that's pretty cool. I don't know. But I'd rather stick with my keyboard, desktop machine and monitor :P

Technically they will be sueing Intel, and they're massive, aswell as 2 other companies. All at the same time, I would be interested in seeing how that would turn out.
Let's just hope Apple takes too big of a bite with this and dosn't win

This looks cool. Hopefully Apple won't try to make one...and if it does sue, it loses.
