Love 'em! I have all their albums, can't choose a favorite though, they're all great.

Noone really knows what's going on with them, specifically Scott. He's one unpredictable dude.

According to wikipedia, the Stone Temple Pilots are still together: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stone_Temple_Pilots

They released a self-titled album in 2010, and are actively touring ( according to wikipedia ).

Didn't Slash say in an interview Scott had been sacked again and that was why he said he was back in VR though?

No, Scott said that he'd be willing to get back with VR and that they'd possibly been working on some new material, and Slash came out and denied everything. And I trust Slash's word way more than Scott's.
