When you feel ready.

The best time to have your first boyfriend? Honestly, it varies from person to person. It depends on your own maturity level and that of the person you want to date. When you feel you're ready, that you're mature enough to handle the responsibility and commitment of a relationship, and you realize the consequences of being in a relationship, it's at that point that I think you can begin to search for a relationship. Regardless of what you think, a relationship is a commitment to that person and, honestly, is a lot of responsibility to take on. It's up to you to find out for yourself when you believe you are mature enough to handle that kind of relationship with someone.

Its a classic case of what you want out of a relationship, and how mature you are. Some people get those 'hug' girlfriends when they're 7, and some are too young & confident and start having sex at 14.

Relationships are best when your 12+, but its mainly just the fun stuff & nothing serious. When you hit 15/16 is when the more sexual activities happen.

Personally I think we you have your own means of transportation. (Being able to afford the bus, ride your bike just fine, or walk).
I wish I'd waited to date it would've saved me a huge amount of hassle, save my parents from bills, save me from learning about crap the hard way, and avoided those "Moooommmyyy/daaaadddy can you take me to my boyfriend's house? His mom said I could come over but I have to leave by 6 ok?"
Like I was asking my parents to set up a play-date. Belgh.

The best time is when you feel like you really want one and are ready.

All depends! When you meet the right guy! And when both of you guys are ready! And if you meet the right guy, and he wants to wait, then wait! I know the girl I like doesn't want to date till our sophomore years over! So I'm going to wait!

In my opinion it's from 12 to like 25... I hooked up with my girlfriend over 2 years ago when I was in 7th grade. We're still together now. <3 (I was 13.)
