So, I was talking to a friend of mine the other day when he brought up that some of the kids in our grade are having or have had sex before. This really surprised me, because my Grade (9th) is mostly made up of 14-15 year olds. I know for a fact that I'm not ready for sex yet, but the fact that there are a few who have done it before kinda shocked me...

So, I'm wondering, is this common? Has anyone else encountered this?

well I think most of the kids in any school HAVE NOT HAD SEX....but that doesn't mean some haven't....i did in grade school --- masturbation and oral actually----and in middle school when I lost my virginity....some of my friends have to I know, but most have not .....it depends on the individual, and like all question about puberty.....everyone is different....

I am not trying to be rude to anyone, but I myself am in 10th grade and a lot of the girls are sluts, and they all get around. Heck I guess it is not surprising due to the fact that my school is named "STD Central". Also guys at this age are just crazy horny and will do anything for sex. Just don't get caught up in all that stuff, because it is not good and will probably get you into some type of trouble.

If I'm being honest here, it's very naive to believe that a lot of people in high school (even as young as the 14) aren't having sex. I am not in high school anymore, but out of all my friends, I was the only virgin. Practically everybody I knew in high school had sex. The majority of them lost their virginity in the 9th grade, some later than that. It's not uncommon at all for young people to have sex. I don't know anybody who lost their virginity in middle school, but by the time 9th grade hit, most everybody I knew were having sex. Not like on a regular basis, but they have had it.

I wont be surprised if you're talking about Juniors/Seniors, but Freshmen...They just cam out of 8th grade and adjusting to High School Life! I'm in 10th grade as well, and I have to agree. Everyone in my school is horny constantly, and I would say that threesomes are becoming more and more common. Again just don't do something you aren't comfortable doing

So I live in south Alabama and kids having sex is VERY common in my school.... it is more uncommon for someone in the ninth grade to not have had sex than it is for them to be sexually active... I however am 17 in the 10th grade and have not had sex.....
