Any questions regarding chat can be asked in the HQ. The chat forum was essentially for the IRC chat and almost all of the information posted in it pertains to that. Since we don't use IRC and our chat is pretty simple the forum was somewhat useless. There were a bunch of stuck threads (stickies) with IRC information in them and links to the chat server -- deleting them would leave an almost empty forum that gets little to no activity.

I can see how you could say it should have stayed up; but there are so few questions and threads made about our chat now that they could be posted in the VTHQ without crowding the front pages of the section.

I got rid of it, since we have a chat of our own, and the problems that had persisted in the Gov chat became our problem more-so, because of their rooms. I thought it was for the safety of the Virtual Teen members that only the people that still have the link for some reason to use it, but I choose not to make it an option for others to use it. If you want to go on gov and use it, that's your decision, but in order for everyone here to be safe and for us to have control when a situation happens, instead of the chat being on their server. I mean that's their choice allowing guests to use the chat instead of making them register, but that's not the way things are done here. If some of you still end up using that chat, please be safe.
