Can stretch marks be the result of growth from puberty? I have them, on my hips, the side. Almost to on my butt! Is this typical of growing? Strangely I'm skinny but have stretch marks there and on my shoulder. Can growth from puberty bring this? And do they ever fade or is there a way to remove or at least hide stretch marks? And what causes the marks to persist if skin grows and stretches with the body?

Can stretch marks be the result of growth from puberty?
Absolutely! Most if not all guys gain weight and muscle mass during puberty, and stretch marks are a pretty common result of that.

Yes. I also have stretch marks there.

Even skinny people grow during puberty, so stretch marks can result. any abnormally quick growth can put tension on skin and cause stretch marks.
And do they ever fade or is there a way to remove or at least hide stretch marks?
They will fade very slowly over time, but certain creams and lotions are available to reduce the appearance of stretch marks. if all else fails, wear clothing to cover the marks.
And what causes the marks to persist if skin grows and stretches with the body?
The growth itself causes the marks because the skin is trying to cover the body at an increased rate. The only way to truly stop stretch marks is to stop growing!

It's obviously due to growing!

it's possible that puberty gives stretch marks, but they'll go away again.

Absolutely, I have stretch marks on my back and have had them for some time. They'll fade a bit over time, but I would recommend visiting a dermatologist like I plan on doing. They'll be able to tell you exactly what it is and could give you something to help them fade quicker.
