I like this girl and we've been flirting for the past 6 months.I have known her for 8 years but we only really started noticing each other last year. We are always texting and I REALLY like her. I want to know the best way to ask her out.

Honestly, the best way to ask her out would probably be just asking her on a date. You seem to have been flirting for a while and both seem to like each other--at least I'm guessing so. And you've known her for quite a long time. Rather than going ahead and asking her out, to "go steady" or whatever it may be called these days, it might be a better idea to ask her on a date. See if she would like to see a movie with you, or have dinner, or both, or something you think you two would enjoy. Be sure to let her know specifics too--what movie, or what time, where, etc. And really, just see where it leads from there. I wish you the best of luck!

I like to get a bit inventive with my methods, I find that just asking it is too boring (or scary for some people). Im not talking about doing some epic surprise because truth is most people cant be bothered with that for a first time unless its an adult relationship.

Sometimes its better to surprise them with a kiss, but at a perfect time like at the movies or when your hanging out together, just make sure its a moment where you both have a similar thought in your head, after that, you'll just be in that phase where its like a relationship (make sure to confirm it with him/her though first!)
