How to get the girl

So there's this girl I really like. I'm not sure she likes me but I like her so much that I at least have to try. We don't really talk because I'm too shy just go up and talk to her in front of other people and I'm trying to not have to do it through Facebook or whatever. From what I've heard she hasn't had a boyfriend (I haven't had a girlfriend) but pretty much every guy has asked her out and she's turned them all down. I want to get her to like me and then ask her out but I don't want to be just another annoying guy that blends in with all the rest. She constantly has guys hitting on her and I don't want to be just another one of them. Any suggestions?

If you want to be with her build a friendship first, find something in common and if there is chemistry and the time is right you can ask her out.
The reason she may have turned down other guys is because they might not have took the opportunity to get to know her properly.

If a relationship is even a possibility you'll need to confront your fears and speak in person, and trust me it gets easier once you do it more.

first make a bond with her.. like a friend ship
prove to her that your not like all the other guys.. show her your true colors
dont fake a personality for her to like you
and if things work out as friends for a while because it will take time... then you can figure things out and see where she stands

I'll try that, I have another problem, i kinda shot myself in the foot. She has quite the excellent posterior (if you know what I mean) and I'm pretty sure she's seen me and my friends acting like a bunch of apes about it. I feel she has gotten a bad impression of me and its not usually like me to act like that. Any ideas on what I could do to change her perception of me?
