So when I was ice skating, I saw this guy (who didn't look to bad ;)) who had his shirt/sweater tucked in with his white belt (you know, those popular white belts) and casual jeans. And I thought, wow that looks awesome. So when does it look good tucking in your shirt, in casual life, whether its at school or a special event?

I think it looks best when wearing a suit, and you tuck your dress shirt into your pants. Button up shirts in general look nice tucked in (excluding dark plaid). :) Plain ol' shirts tucked can go either way, I guess it depends on the colour of the top and bottoms.

Haha well personally I think if you are wearing a tight fitted button up shirt it can look much better tucked in, than if its baggy (which just gives you a puffy load of material around your waist and looks crap imho).

T-shirts could go either way, so if you have a nice belt you want to show off then you could tuck it in, but personally I'd rather go for a shorter tee and that way you get to flash your abs too :P

I think a lot of overweight guys use not tucking shirts in to hide their body shape, so if you are fit then wearing well fitting clothes that show you are fit can help advertise the goods if you wear them right.

Wearing Camo cargos and Combat boots. Shows how Vandamm-esque you are.

Personally, I don't like the look unless it's with slacks for a nice occasion. For some reason I think it looks too old. I guess just because my dad and grandpa tuck in all their shirts lol. But yeah, I've never seen a guy with his shirt tucked in for something casual and thought it looked that nice.

Its when the older generations wear them so their belt is level with their nipples I start gagging. Not a good look :-D

Hahaha, personally I'd prefer that to how my dad does. He always wear his jeans really low down because of his massive beer gut. I'm actually thankful when he tucks his shirt in; less chance of something showing when he bends over for some reason. :yuck:

If I have some sort of a dress or button up shirt I always wear it tucked in, if its a plain tshirt I sometimes have it tucked in. Guess my dad and grandpa do it so I do.

I'd say if someone was going to some formal event, like church, a meeting/conference, etc.

First off I'm pretty jealous... I wish I could Ice Skate! Second off, I love wearing a cardigan with my undershirt tucked in... But I think just about anytime you want to look nice and wear a nice outfit tucking in your shirt wouldnt hurt... I still wanna ice skate though -.-

I like it both ways, but when I see a guy with his shirt tucked in, it tells me he takes pride in his looks, has good self esteem and usually has self confidence, all traits that I like.

Personally, I think that guys tucking in their shirts are more (or try to show people that they are) sophisticated, in a good way.
