Before I start I would like to st sorry if this does not measure up to my usual standards, but here goes nothing. Enjoy:)

Shifting through the blackened ashes,
Left on this broken barren land,
only lifting her dieing eyes to the darkened sun,
when her name is called,
through the falling darkness.

Every time she sees his face in front of hers,
Every time she hears his voice next to her,
Every time he enters her mind,
her world begins to crumble,
The ashes scurry away,
the only light darkens,
her whole word stops.

To see him smile,
To see him laugh,
To see his eyes light her world again,
But all that lays there is bleak broken sadness,

Her eyes lift to his,
blue meet green,
unable to hold it back,
she reaches for him.

She needs to feel his arms around her one more time,
she needs to feel his breath against her neck one more time,
she needs to feel his lips on hers one more time,
she needs to give into it one more time,
the burning need for him.

She lets those three words escape her lips.

His eyes go cold again,
he moves away,
she reaches for him,
but his body is lost to the falling ashes,

She begins to shift through the ashes,
trying to find the pieces that are whole,
trying to put them back together,
only lifting her eyes,
when he calls her name.

I edited Promises by the way it is alot better now:)
