Because you are a guy going through puberty. Well that's not exactly true because there are some adults who are self-conscious of their penis size, too. A lot of guys worry because there's pressure to feel that a bigger size is better and that you'll be looked down by both guys and girls that make fun of smaller penises, which isn't true.

Everybody is at some point in puberty. Not having anything to compare it to doesn't help I think, although that can't be helped! All we get is charts on puberty websites to tell us the average length overall.
Any way, back on topic, everyone gets concious about their penis size at some time; it is completely normal.

Guys are always conscious about their penis length. They care more than girls care. They think its too small, they thinks its deformed, they think it smells funny, they think it tastes funny (:P), etc. Its normal to be self-conscious about your penis length, especially during puberty, just don't do anything drastic and keep your mind on other things. If a girl cares about your dick size and nothing else, she's not the girl for you. :)
