Hey so if you've already come out you probably got good, bad and maybe odd responses when telling certain people "I'm gay." or "I'm Bisexual."

Personally, the majority of the responses I've gotten when coming out as lesbian were on the good side but some... not so much.

There are people in this world who clearly don't think before they say something and I have little respect for those people. So my pet peeve when coming out is the response

"I can turn you straight."

I honestly get so pissed when guys tell me this and I want to think of a clever way to respond to them to give them a taste of their own medicine but I don't know what to respond with!

Help? Any ideas people?

You don't need to respond in any way. They're ignorant and not worth your time.

Though I agree with you, I am not the kind of person who can just let this go, it happens too often

The pigs that say stuff like this...
After a while I would probably just ask them if they honestly think it's the first time I've heard that. Not exactly a come back but it might make them feel less bad-ass.

Wow. That is just moronic. Well I think Troy already gave you the best come back, but if someone tried that sort of thing on me (ignoring the fact I'm a guy) I'd be tempted to go with "not if I kick you hard enough in the nuts you won't".

Seriously, I think if you get this from the same individual you should report it. There are some very sick people out there, and I'm sure you've heard the stories where guys have followed through on that sort of comment. If they think it enough to say it to your face, I find that quite disturbing.

just ignore them.. if you respond to them theyre just looking for a negative reaction
so just keep to yourself and ignore all comments directed at you.

Well , it's so offending , I break in to his words and understood what he meant .
You shouldn't go in front of people and express your self like tell them "I'm gay" some are homophobic and really not their problem and some are religious .
Well , for your answer , it's not a good way to respond to these people , cuz they always come out with a better answer to offend someone , ignore him and don't go further , these people don't deserve someone to talk with .

I'd say just ignore it. To answer him back could just make matters worse. If you really feel like you should reply to him, you might as well say it in a respectful way. They are probably looking for an aggressive answer, so try not to pay attention to them.

Tell them that you've thought about it a lot and came to that conclusion. Also turn the tables on them. Ask them what they would do if another guy tried to seduce them. When they react negatively to that, tell them that's how you feel.

I am gay and first thing even people who accept gay's the FIRST thing they say which ALWAYS pisses me off is "Are you sure?" Or "How do you know?" Or "You don't like me do you?" But i just think to myself and i think this is a good thing for you to do, You're better than them a-holes and shouldn't waste your time on them so just leave them be in their small obnoxious minds and just get on with your life like it has never happened :) It's best for the both of you in case and argument breaks out or something ha ha

I agree, that is dynamite! I was thinking you could just look him up and down and say something like 'You? I don't think so!'

Listen, these "people" are just hating, just ignore them. If they can't except you for you then you do not need to worry about their opinions as they don't matter.

I like this answer not sure if he would actually get it since anyone that uses the line I can turn you straight can't be very bright in the first place.

my cousin is a lesbian and she has the same problem. Really those guys are just ignorant and overconfident. I always found it amusing when my Becka replied how her friend could turn them gay

Tell them to go fuck themselves. And walk away. If they act like that, don't give them the pleasure of talking to you. He isn't worth your time.
