I think, this is more a problem for guys than for girls. When a girl touches herself, other people just smile or giggle. When a guy does this, girls/women might complain - or even call the police. So I try to avoid touching myself in public.

Sounds to me already like an addiction. Doesn't masturbating so often cost you too much time in which you should have done homework? Take care, that you don't lose social contacts because of masturbating at home instead of meeting friends! I therefore now do it not more than 3 times a day!

Subconscious touching is just a normal development milestone (called the phallic stage by Freud--I doubt he has any super credibility in 2013, but the general idea is still tossed around) that many people I know still revert to out of habit when comfortable even after passing the stage around toddler/preschool age. Hormones being pumped around in the body add a new dimension or layer to it. Completely normal.
