What's the most difficult dish or meal you ever made? Tell the amount of time and whether you made it up or used a recipe.

For me, it would probably be Middle Eastern braised lamb over lentils with coconut pudding from scrath that I came up with

Probably Arroz con Pollo, if I'm remembering right. My cooking tends to be ethnic foods, and I've made arroz con pollo for parties at school several times--I had to make it in a big batch, and it took so much prep and so much time.

Homemade icecream was the longest and most tedious recipe I've made.
I fucked up so I had to compromise

Well, this chocolate torte gave me some trouble because of how I was tempering the eggs. It took some effort for me to create my own cookie recipe as well.
Although this risotto I tried to make just would not work for me.
