G'day.
I was given Beats headphones as a gift... Yet, when I try to use them—with Beats Audio on my computer—the audio just screws up. I can't hear the primary vocals at all, I can barely hear the backup vocals, and the rest just sounds distorted. And this is only when I'm using these headphones. I've tried going through the settings in the Beats Audio panel, it's not doing anything...
Any suggestions?

I jave that problem with my own headset I made myself, when you increase BASS it reduces how audible vocals are. I don't know why but it just happens. anyways try adjusting your equalizer settings manually.

I've tried that :\ I've tried the presets and I've played around with the equaliser settings myself.

Is this just with iTunes or have you used another music program?

Everything. Absolutely everything. It's not just 'music programs,' it's with anything and everything. Skype, Windows system sounds, Chrome, and so on.

Is the beats on your computer software based or does it have some sort of driver? If it's driver based, you could disable the driver and see if anything happens.

I think it's something to do with Beats Audio and not something so much to do with the headphones. I have Beats Audio on my laptop and when I first got the laptop the audio was extremely weird. Audio couldn't play properly and the volume would keep fluctuating without me doing anything. Often it would just get quieter and quieter the longer I left something playing. For about a week I was spending a lot of time playing around with drivers and eventually the problem seemed to go away and now my Beats audio seems to be fine.
Is your computer a HP? If so, then it could be that your audio driver is out of date. HP had to release an update for certain models because so many people were experiencing the issue I was with the fluctuating sound. Even if your computer isn't a HP, there's still a chance this has something to do with an audio driver.
That's my two cents anyway. :)

Well, no. Fn+B 'disables' the software. When it's disabled, the audio changes, but it's equally distorted.
