Photoshop is a general program which you can paint, design, edit photos, and do all sorts of things on it. Lightroom is focused only on photography. Which is better in editing photos? Which do you prefer?

I use Lightroom because it's simpler and gets the job done, but sometimes I have to go into Photoshop for HDR or panoramas. But because Photoshop can be used to edit photos also, it seems to be more complex and has much more options...at the same time confusing af. You have to go to different menus just to change contrast or tone, etc. Lightroom just has it all laid out.

I don't have Lightroom installed anymore. It was being a bit stubborn with RAW importing, so I decided to stick with Photoshop as my all-in-one tool. It's just a hell of a lot easier yet gives me more options at the same time.

In all honesty, for day-to-day and messaround photos, I just use iPhoto. All my non-important stuff ends up there, including Photo Stream taken from my iPhone and synced up via Cloud.

I can't really speak for Lightroom as I've only briefly used the trial version.
I just use Photoshop (Elements 8... yes, I know it's outdated and not the best), but it's what I've got to work with, so I make it work...
