so on january 13th me and my boyfriend will be celebrating our one year anniversary and i am wondering what is something special we should do.. i currently dont have money and i wont have any until the 31st so i tried suggesting to him why dont we wait till i get my next cheque and then we can go to a movie and maybe get some drinks and go to a fancy restaurant for dinner?
does anybody think this is approriate for a one year celebration or am i going too far... or what are some other things we could do for those of you who disagree?

For our one year, my boyfriend and I sat on the sofa with buffalo chicken watching DBZ. We had wanted to go to the Olive Garden, but the line was out in the parking lot. No way were we waiting in the parking lot for that. We had finals that day, but we both exempted the finals for the classes and therefore didn't have to go to school. It was a lazy, cuddle filled spring day. We're hoping to try the Olive Garden again for our 2 years coming up.

So pretty much, do whatever you two wanna do! It doesn't have to be anything fancy, doesn't have to be anything cheap and laid back either. If you both want to spend your anniversary in a bubble bath playing with rubber duckies, go ahead! If you both want to spend it walking through parks you never been to, go ahead.
You could both get empty books and write out what you love about each other, your fondest memories of each other, the one thing you never knew about yourself that they brought out in you, the one thing you never knew about them, a tiny little quirk you think is cute, the one thing they've done that you most appreciate.

I don't even disagree with what you're planning. Dinner, movies, drinks. They're all fun and all have potential of being romantic and "anniversary unification"!

although i like the idea of sitting in the bathtub with rubber duckies which would be so much fun not only do i live in a small unit that has half the size of a general bathroom which inlcudes a mini tub but i am also a big girl and even when me and my ex tried tubbing together well he ended uo getting squished and if anything i wouldnt wanna ruin the mood... as for your other suggestions they sounded cool i was actually thinking of taking him to the rain forest cafe if i can afford it :)

I think that's fair to do for your 1 year anniversery if that's what you want. I would suggest maybe doing what you did on your first date or going to a place that is special for you both, maybe where you had your first kiss or something like that.
