Is it possible to somehow have mods be able to be recognized as mods when they post somewhere other than the section they moderate? Thinking about it, faces wouldn't really work but is there another way?

I don't think this is needed...it's usually indicated that they're a mod in their sig. I guess they could be colored in the sections they are not moderator of. But that's not really necessary either. As I said before, the sig says that they're a moderator.

Well there's honestly no reason to know if someone is a moderator unless they moderate the section you see them in. Also, we usually have text in our sig saying what section we moderate (see below).

The reason we have our mod faces only in the sections we moderate is to not confuse people who post and think we are a moderator in there section. I think it works pretty well as in my time as a H&A moderator I've only once ever been asked to do something in GD once.

Global mods have the name color and face shown globally as they can moderate globally. I think in general the current system we have avoid confusion.

Well I feel dumb. :P I completely forgot you/they all have it in your/their signatures.

I also forgot why I wanted a way to tell in the first place... I need to go to sleep.
