So i was wondering if any of you peoples have ever been to a gig on your own, and by that i dont mean without your parents, i mean literally on your own.*

Im asking because i really want to see one of my favourite bands this month, but i have no one to go with, the few friends that like the same band are all busy, and no one would just come for the sake of it.

So i guess i just want to know, if you have been by yourself, what was it like?

The thing im worried about is queueing, not the actual gig. I am a very small person, so to be able to see I need to be within the first two rows, because of this i always show up to gigs hours early, if i didn't i would be so far back and unable to see.*

So what could I do to make queueing hours early less crap and boring? Without looking like a total loner, if possible:)

Thanks for any answers and that jazz :P

If you have a smart phone, games, or text people. Talk to people around you, you're all there for the same thing, so talk about the band, be excited with them. Ask them how they got into the band, or the song they really want to hear, or their favourite member etc. Have fun.

No, but I'm really bloody tempted to go alone because none of my friends like any of the music I like. Sigh.

If I could drive, I would probably go to shows by myself every weekend, since I can never find anyone to go to shows with.

I've been to 2 concerts alone. I was the youngest person at both of them though (Ozzy Osbourne and Motley Crue) so it wasn't like anyone there was my age. Depending how social you are, you can try and talk to people around you and make friends with them. I've found you can make a lot of friends at concerts.

I'm very short too by the way. Only 5'4. Thankfully all the general admission concerts I've been to I've been in the front row, and every seated concert I just happened to get good seats with not too many people in front of me.

All my friends are online, so I go to almost all my gigs alone. Grabbing takeout works. You could bring a marker and draw on yourself, or play games on your phone/whatever. Unfortunately, I usually take advantage of my size to slip towards the front, so I can't help you much.
