Merging Double Posts

Sometimes i accidentally click post two times really fast and it tells me that it was a double post. Well just recently a mod merged a double post together because of my mistake... Did I get an infraction for that? It was a complete accident.

If it was an accident because you clicked post two times, then you shouldn't get an infraction for it. And, if I'm not mistaken, you are informed whenever you get an infraction. So, if you've not received anything saying you got an infraction, then you didn't get one for it. If it was accidental like you said, anyway, the staff should understand it was just a technological goof-up, since it would be the same post posted twice.

Don't sweat it. You'll never get an infraction without a warning first (unless you break a major rule such as uploading explicit images lol). Usually double posts are just merged with a note left in red saying so, and then it's left as is. Repeat offenders who double post consistently will get a warning, and then an infraction if they keep it up. So you shouldn't worry, double posts happen. If you realize one just report it. :)

You will get a PM warning before you get an infraction. It shouldn't be an issue if you report a double post right away, as soon as you post it. That tells moderators that you didn't do it intentionally.

If you ever receive an infraction you'll be well aware of it. You'll receive a PM titled "You Have Received An Infraction At VirtualTeen Forums" and the PM will give you an explanation as to why you received the infraction, how many points the infraction was worth and when the points will expire.

You'll pretty much always get a PM warning before an infraction or you'd be given an official warning, which is like an infraction with but with no infraction points. Double posting on occasion is fine. You'd only be given an infraction or warning if it was excessive or constantly seen by you.

Everyone, at some point in VT history has double posted. Its a mistake that once it happens, you can't do anything about it. Reporting it helps.

One thing to note would be that you can double post if you are updating your thread/bumping it as long as its within reason.
