It sounds like it may be infected, to be honest. If it's been a few days, and it hurts that much to touch it, along with the discoloration, those are all signals to be that it may be an infection of some sort. I doubt that it's very serious, but it would still be something to probably see your dentist about, just to ask and make sure. Usually, if I scrape my gums on something, it heals up within a few days, it's usually only sore for about a day or so. Your mouth is a haven for bacteria, and it's very possible that between that, and the bacteria that were on the metal from your hoodie, some little bugger got in and has been thriving on your wound. So, I would get it checked out just to be on the safe side.

Its not as sore as it was earlier to touch but its usually really sore after I eat hard food.
what are some foods you suggest I avoid?
And yeah I'll try and see a dentist.

If it hurts after you eat hard food, then I would suggest you avoid harder food :P For a couple days at least, try eating just softer food. I would also mention that salt can help purge wounds/infections of bacteria. Whenever I have a canker sore, I put salt on it, and as horrible as it tastes when I do that and as badly as it burns, it helps them go away quicker for me. Now that I think about it, really, I think that it's more likely that they're canker sores brought on by the irritation of the scrape on your gums, in which case I would recommend not poking at them too much, and putting salt on them/swishing saltwater around in your mouth once a night to help them heal up. Have you ever had them in the past?

maybe take a visit to your dentist
you might have just irritated the gums and by you eating certain things theyre slightly enflamed.... better safe than sorry. just be careful when you eat/brish your teeth
if they start bleeding call your dentist asap

That's probably what they are then. I would still see a dentist to double check, but I'm fairly certain that the scrape has just turned into canker sores at this point.

Are the white spots just ulcers perhaps?
