In case you haven't noticed, being in the charts and having musical talent aren't necessarily the same. Money talks, and the production companies will make anything if it means they will make a buck. Look at Lil Wayne for instance: He raps about nothing but getting money, "bitches", and weed. That guy sounds like a locust with an acute case of Laryngitis (If anyone has a better description, I am very interested in hearing it. Make my day.)

Practically every excuse of a song he has created has been fairly high up on the Billboard Charts.

Now please, tell me, do the charts actually determine how talented an individual is?

Yep, all of this ^ is 100% true. I agree with every word of it.

And OP, I don't think you'll find many 1D fans on here, as most of the people on here ( including myself ) are into Rock/Heavy Metal music genres.

Also, the music forum isn't for talking about how "hot" you think someone is, it's for discussing music.

The thing with one direction , In the UK , not alot of people are like so in love with them , it is even admitted that they are more famous in the US , I think they are ok , unfortunately they get alot of hate in england. or it seems it !

Why on Earth would you only like them while they're in the charts? That's ridiculous. Charts shouldn't influence your opinion on whether or not music is good. I question whether people like this actually like them for their music, or for the big #1 next to their name on iTunes.

They don't, If it wasn't for us British fans they wouldnt be in America and all over the world, just because England is full of chavs, they have fans that's how they got started.... I'm a huge directioner soooo
