So my friend basically stopped being my friend. One day he acts normal and all friendly and the next he distances himself from me, and still does. I don't get it. Why do people do that? It's the second time this has happened to me and I don't want it to happen again. I don't want to lose this friend so what do I do? I figured the best thing to do is confront him but how would I word it? There's gotta be a better way than just "hey, man, are we still cool?"

Confronting him is the best thing to do, yes, but keep in mind that it may not work. Even if you confront him, he may blow you off or really not say jackshit to you. People do this shit and it's horrible and it sucks. It's happened to me way too many times for comfort. I know you don't want to lose your friend, but honestly, there comes a point where you have to wonder if it's worth it. If the friendship is worth saving. Because it sounds like he has no desire to really continue the friendship, and if he doesn't want to, it's not going to happen hun. I would say it may be better to just forget him and try to move on. I know it sucks and it hurts, but sometimes, it's for the best.

Yea totally, noirtier's got a point. What kind of "true friend" would do something like this ? I mean he might just be upset from something, wich may not even have anything to do with you. Thats usually what it is, when this happens to me. Anyways, I think your best bet is just to talk with your friend, and if he acts all crazy, maybe give it some time or eventually just forget him/her.
