After a while cutting becomes an addiction. Whether you're happy or sad, whatever your mood is you may still have the urge to cut. Making it a month is an amazing achievement, don't let the urges get the better of you. Whenever you get the urge find ways to distract yourself, these could be surrounding yourself with people, talking to someone, take a shower, draw, write, cook, listen to music, go for a run. You just have to find the distraction that is the most effective. You can get trough this you've already shown you can go 31 days without it. Stay safe and don't give up.

Why do you have the urge to do it? Because, hun, it's an addiction. Just like any addiction, your body will have cravings and urges for self harm/cutting, because the release of chemicals in your brain when you cut makes it an addictive habit. It's hard, it really is, when you're dealing with those urges. Try distracting yourself in any way that you can though. Read a book, watch a movie or tv, listen to music, write or draw, just do anything to keep your mind off of it. Talk to a friend, go play outside in the snow or something. It's hard, I know it is, but you can do it! If you ever need to talk, we're all here to help and support you hun! And let me say that it's really incredible that you've been able to go a month already! Congrats hun! :)
