I jsut went to the bathroom a few minutes ago and while I was going a sharp pain shot through my torso and it kinda comes back every few minutes. anyone know what may be going on?http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif

I'm getting ready to go to bed so maybe I may feel better in the morning.

I can't really point out a specific reason for the pains, but maybe go to this site, it should help determine what is causing it:

If it still happens after you go to the bathroom tomorrow, you may have gastritis (damaged stomach lining). If the pain is moderate and not severe, perhaps buy some stomach acid-suppressing medication or antacids at your local pharmacy.

If it gets any worse or does not improve, see a doctor. It might be something else.

See how you feel in the morning. If the pain persists, and comes as often as you're saying it is, then I would definitely recommend going to see a doctor about it when you can. It could be anything as minor as gastritis like Teejay said, to something as major as your appendix or gallbladder acting up. If, though, the pain goes away after you've slept some, then I would venture to guess your stomach was just a bit acidy that night, or you ate too much or something of the sort. I hope that it turns out to be nothing major!

I woke up today and the pains are gone, but I'm a little gassy. other than that I'm fine.

That's probably what it was then, some gas buildup from whatever you ate that day :P It sounds like it's nothing to worry about then! I'm glad it turned out to be nothing!

Probably gas build-up. It happens to me a lot when I eat too fast or drink too much soda very quickly, and even if there's a lot of air movement while I sleep (kinda weird to explain lol)

Usually as short-term relief, I'll mix some baking soda in a glass of water and drink that, although it's definitely not too good to consume too much of that. Sleeping always does the trick though!
