Showering in High school

I'm moving from Europe to Texas next year. Do most people shower after PE ? Over here there are showers somewhere in the school but no one even knows where they are. I'm not circumcised so I'm kinda worried about being in the minority. Please Help. !!

In High School in America u usually don't take showers unless u play sports. Most guys in America are circumcised yes but some aren't and that's ok people shouldn't make fun of u if you're not

i am in a catholic HS (they are popular in my area) and my friend is uncut and most of the kids are but no one gies him a problem an most school don't make you shower

It's definitely not mandatory at all for you take showers were I live. Actually, nobody ever takes showers after PE. The only people who do are the people who play sports. They take showers after football, basketball, etc. practice. Although, that is not during the school day. Practice is always after school.

Actually, the guys who took showers after football practice wouldn't even shower completely naked. I knew a few guys on the football team and they said they always showered in their boxers. Honestly, they are all too worried about being labeled "gay" if they shower completely naked. I remember some people saying how they thought this one guy Johnny was gay because he showered naked, while the rest of the guys showered in their boxers. It's dumb, but high school guys are immature. They are too shy and too worried about be labels to even shower naked.

I wouldn't worry about it all. Most schools in the US do NOT require you to shower after PE class.

There is every single sport you can imagine in my school, but it's not required to shower afterwards, I'm in cross county, I wait until I get home to shower, in fact I think that there is not a single sport in my school were people use the school showers, I think showers are built just to coupe with school standards, actually no there is someone who uses the school shower my algebra 2 teacher, but he bikes to school so he kinda has to use it.

About being uncut, don't freak out, when I moved in I was really young I didn't even know what circumcision was haha, after I while you know you find out. All of my friends are cut except for one, and nobody really bothers you because of that. I have a friend who told me he wishes he was never circumcised, so don't over think it, and don't do anything crazy just to fit in.

I think the majority of schools don't require you to shower after PE. Theres like a 7 minute warning bell in my school, and theres no way we have time. Usually only if you play sports the guys take showers, and even then not all of them do. I wouldnt worry about it at all, more then likely you wont need to shower for PE with your class. Not Mandatory.

Well, I live in Texas and am in Hghschool and yes, we do shower. Now, I am a swimmer so it is required, and most other sports do as well. In fact, cross country and basketball sometimes get let out at the same time and we have to fight over the showers (who gets in first). And while it depends on the higschool, and also what part of Texas and what sport you are doing, I would recommend taking a shower. I am not sure PE has to, in fact i dont think they do, but there is no point in not. We are friendly down here in Texas :yes:

Usually people in my school don't care about what size you are and whether you are cut or not, they just care that you have a penis. So I don't know what it is like down there, but I would say not to worry about, and be cool.

I agree with most of that. At my school we were encouraged to shower after PE and games. It was wierd at first but only for a couple of weeks really then you just get used to it. And I'm really glad we did because I don't give a damn anymore about changing in a public locker room, and if more schools made guys shower after sport there would be far less need for all these endless "am I normal" puberty questions.

At my highschool the showers are only used for sports teams after school and not mandatory during school (there is not even enough time to take one if you wanted to.) But every highschool is different, although, for the most part, schools don't require showers after gym anymore.

I go to a private Catholic high school and no PE students shower, only sport players, which shower after practice which is after school. :) I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Its doubtful that you would be obligated to shower with everyone else. In my experience though, showering is totally at your own discretion. Most guys DID shower though, it was almost a point of pride to show your naked self without shame. So my advice is, if you find yourself in a scenario where you see dudes starting to shower around you, then go ahead and do it. No ones going to sit there and chirp you while they are naked as well. And even if they did you would probably be considered cool if you went a long with it and made dick jokes and stuff. Where I'm from, no one cares; we've all seen a million dicks in our lives in change rooms and stuff. I would say its weird to see some one who is self conscious about their body, and DOESN'T want to shower with everyone else.

Like Rob, almost everyone showers after PE and after sports...it is not required, but most do especially when they have PE in the early morning....and also most guys here are cut...but not all and no one cares about that ....we all just strip down and go in do what we need to do and dry off and get dressed....I have never had any problem showering or being naked with other guys....its natural we all have the same equipment and yes guys look but that is normal too...don't stress just go with the flow....

well, from talking to other guys, it seems to vary from school to school. in some, almost everyone showers, in others, no one showers.

in my school some guys shower after PE but not most. but after practice for sports most guys shower.

Circ rates are decreasing by at least 5% every year, less than half of the current generation of kids are cut now in the United States. Be confident, and don't shy into a corner if people ask you why you have a foreskin, just be polite and explain that your parents opted not to have it done. Chances are people won't care, or take much notice.

People usually only shower if they want to. And usually if they are in athletics. I am in Texas and from Ohio. From what I have seen, no. Most students do not shower after PE. The showers are not always private.

We don't have to after PE, but I do just the same. We have to shower before swimming, I also shower afterwards to get the bleach smell off me.

Mines like yours, no one says anything about that, they have said it is tiny. A couple of my best friends have said the tube on it looks cool, but that was on sleepovers.

We shower after PE and after sports. Everyone does...no big deal. Some guys (even me a few times) get boners, but its never been a big deal. No ones ever said anything about being cut/uncut. No worries.

My school is new, so my showers are individual with curtains. My middle school which is 50 years old, has one big open shower. It probably depends on your school. Don't worry about being uncircumcised, you have all your parts with you. If they make fun you, tell them how they feel about having a stranger molest and mutilate their foreskin. :) :D

I'm not from Texas but in my school showers are optional except for swimming, then you have to shower before you swim, afterwards it's and option. I do both, I also shower after sports. We have a really lame shower at home so I actually prefer the school showers.

I;m uncut and as a kid I was the center of attention, especially the kids that never saw one before. Some laughed when they saw it so I feltreally bad, now that I'm older a few kids have said that I was lucky to be that way, so now I feel good when I'm in the shower.

My school requires showers, and the national average is like 49% circumcised and 50% uncircumcised. And my school is pretty close to that. You will be fine im sure.

I heard somewhere that circumcision is going out of favor. Unless it's a religious or medical reason, most people won't bother.

Well I'm from Texas... Showering is pretty much always optional, I don't think kids in PE do it ever cause they don't really get sweaty, but athletics does shower i think quite often. There will probably be individual showers somewhere, so it isn't bad
