Is anyone on this site besides me into parkour? And can anyone here actually do it? Also, for those who don't know, parkour is free running, like in Mirror's Edge, or Assassins Creed, though it's much better in real life.

Nope. I don't really do exercise.

I've never done it, but it looks really cool. I wish I had the capability of doing those cool stunts, but I know my body just couldn't handle that extreme sport. It takes major strengths in both the lower and upper body, I hope someday I'd be able achieve something to that effect LOL

I like it, I just don't have the resources to get into it.

I always fancied trying it thanks to Assassin's creed :P The closest I ever got is back and side flips. Kind of stopped all that type of thing when my friend hurt himself trying to do it with us and parental approval ratings were low.

I am capable (except no tall building junps plz) of doing jumps and climbs and stuff, but i dont necessarily practice it

I'd like to freerun/parkour, but I have a minor knee condition and I might screw up my ligaments if it gets injured.
Where do i sign up!? :D

It does look cool, and I'd like to give it a try some day. They have lessons in town that I keep meaning to look at, but I think they're kind of expensive.

It looks cool, but there's no way I could do that. :P

I am currently cutting weight. That's my first goal. Second goal is, well, learn Parkour/Freerunning. I have to be honest, that was my motivation to lose weight.

I've always wanted to do it but ive never actually tried. The closest thing ive done was a gymnastics course i had to take in PE which was really boring but i learned how to do forward rolls backward rolls and stuff like that.

When i was ten i climbed on to a trash can. I then attempted to get onto the roof. The resulting fall caused a hairline fracture in my ankle. Does that count?

whats the diffrences?

parkour: getting from point A to point B as fast as possible

Free Running: Getting from point A to point B while doing flips and stuff like that.

I used to do parkour and i got pretty good at it but than I quit and started basketball so I cant get myself in danger to get injured with parkour :).Pretty cool sport though

I don't do Parkour because it's not as thrilling as Free Running. Basically Free Running is Parkour without a planned route. You just move. It's awesome. It's especially easy for me since I'm so light.

go out and run. Jump over tables, hand rails, or you could just google if you have a freerunning/parkour gym near you. i am lucky as where i live, the Tempest Gym is also located.

I know. Freerunning is way more better as parkour, but you can do free running with a planned route and vis versa. harder for me, as i am a pretty large dude, 6'2" and weigh 218lb. but i am getting into better shape. once i am in shape, time to build my running endurance, and then comes the parkour.
