They brought you the iPad, the iPod and the iPhone - to name but a few.
Now prepare yourself for Apple's next big thing - the iWatch.
According to reports in China, where Apple manufactures most of its products, the latest 'smartwatch' is set to go on sale next summer.

Sony's SmartWatch does the same thing.

What the fuck is this? Another waste of money? Another pointless invention?

I think it's stupid of Apple to release a device like this. Most people that would have a watch like this probably have a smartphone already. Making this "iWatch" pointless.

What a pointless device.

It actually is more useful than you might think.

Just another way to con stupid people out of their money. They have no more ways to improve the iphone and ipad and ipod.

Pointless, because people already have clocks on their phones or music players.

The sad thing is that people will buy this - only because they will be told that they need it, and a slick ad campaign will make it seem like it's hip and that everyone else is buying one.

If anyone does buy this....wow, just...wow.

Exactly. But a lot of people are stupid and will buy it, because it's new and it's an Apple product.

So...should I buy this or should I just keep using my stone sun-dial when I need the time?

This is stupid

It's genius! No company has ever succeeded in parting more fools with their money in such a short time than Apple has, every time a "new" product is released.

Man, I wish I were Apple. I'd like to have people blindly give me money for something that already exists and/or has no real use.

Just wow! Haha. My watch is smart enough to tell me the time, even better so it's solar powered, has a thermometer and automatic time zones when I travel abroad. I'd rather it didn't have enough brains for Facebook and emails. Is this going to be the next fashion statement?

"I was stupid enough to buy this watch that makes me look smart"

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Wall clocks, time broadcasts, wrist watches, talking clocks, sundials, estimation, desktop/laptop computers, and phones. These are just a few instruments that you can use to tell the time, without this *magnificent* invention from Apple!

Matt its an apple product everyone's just going to have to have it. You aren't cool unless you have all apple products......at least here

What apple should do is make... Oh I don't know, something that's more original?
(List of stupid ideas)
A bike that runs on a battery so you don't have to pedal
Alarmclocks that can interact with other apple products
coffe pots that can automatically make coffee whenever your apple alarm clock goes of or you send a signal from your Iphone, or Ipad/Ipod so people can be even lazier
and the most ridiculous Idea of them all...
A robotic servant that can do everything for you, even carry you from your living room to your bedroom.

Personally I'm waiting for a Pebble (http://getpebble.com/)- they announced their design a few years back, crowdsourced their funding and aren't too far from getting it to market.

It's an epaper screen that links to your phone, android or iOs, you can customise it (code for it) or load apps.

That actually looks cool. A lot cooler than this watch, a lot cooler than half what they ship out. But then this popped into my head, iStone. Now I'm laughing at myself. Time for bed!

This is going to be a big waste of money on something you really don't need. I can almost guarantee that it's going to be an iPod Touch on your wrist. But why do you even need that when your phone has the exact same stuff?

I thought you actually meant a pebble I started to giggle, but then I realised the word pebble was a link and clicked it, now I want one.
