I have an idea for a story (not telling yet) using these characters. What are your ideas and thoughts?
Sam:
Sam is the main character. She is not popular, but is smart and has good friends. She is good looking, if she makes an effort. Sweet, happy, but with a past. Only joined school this year. Geeky.
Emily:
Pretty much Sam, except she is gorgeous and popular. She keeps the geeky side a secret and acts all girly so she can be popular. Sam's bestie.
Is:
Is is a goth/emo. Loves hunger games. Obsessed with a boy in the year.
David: Sam's crush-turned-boyfriend. Again, pretty much sam except male.
The stories basically gonna be about teenage life. All the shit bits. Might add more characters. Characters meant to be around 16.

Hmm... Sounds like it may have potential. But remember, no matter how good the plot is, if a story isn't well written, it's not gonna be very popular. But who am I to talk. Go for it!

Sounds good to me. But there are a shit ton of books about the stereotypical teenage life. So, I really think that you could write something really good, just try to really capture how people are. If you could, look up the book, "Party". I can't think of who it's by. But it should give you some good ideas.

I had another idea!
Write about shit that actually happens to US! Like, the people on VT. FIctionalize our lives.

Too vague.
Also, it sounds like every other book.
Even if you do change it to express the "real" life of teens, it will either sound to cliche or too forced.
If you can think of a plot for these characters to be involved in (that isn't a teen pregnancy or something like that), it could turn into something better.

Sounds like every other book about teenage life. Then again it would be a fun challenge to make something different than what everyone else has done. I wish you luck.
