G'day
All I'm asking here, is should I be worried, and would it be necessary to see a doc?
Over the past few days, I've noticed that there's an area of my left arm, outer left arm, where a lot of my scars are, where the (clean) skin has become darker. Almost an olive-like colour. and it's just this patch of skin. It stretches from the side of my elbow to my outer-wrist.

Any input would be appreciated, thanks.

Er, yeah. Get that shit checked out homeboy. If it's localized, as you say, then there's almost certainly some kind of infection or at least the presence of a foreign and unwanted body.

Thanks. But it's odd to me, because there hasn't been an open wound in this particular area in a while (over a month or two) so... Odd.
Also, now that I think about it.
A doctor? At this time of year?

One more thing, now that I think about it.
There appear to be some much darker spots in my upper arm, same arm, and yes, there are some old cuts there too. Again, they've only been noticeable somewhat recently.

Do they look at all like bruises to you? It's possible that, because you cut pretty deep, they're still healing under the surface (I know from experience that cuts can still be gaping underneath even when they look healed) and perhaps it's just internal bleeding. Are there any other symptoms, like an odd pain, or more itching than is to be expected of areas with scars?

There's absolutely no pain, and no out-of-the-ordinary itching...

I don't 'feel' any different, but nothing's changed.

Is the area swelled at all ? Also is it spreading up your arm (just randomly) or is it not spreading, or is it travelling along a vain ?

It's not really swelling as such, and it doesn't seem to be spreading, but it's becoming more noticeable.

It could be something called keloid scarring, A keloid scar is an overgrown scar that can spread outside the original area of skin damage, however i am not completely sure this is what you have got and i think that you really need to get it checked out to make sure it is not a infection spreading, (if you leave it too long you may need iv antibiotics) (more info on keloid scarring: http://www.nhs.uk/Livewell/skin/Pages/Keloidscarring.aspx)
