So I'm trying to sell my iPod. On my iPod itself I pushed the "Erase All Content and Settings" so I did. To make sure it did what it was supposed to do I plugged it into my computer. When I did so, a message came up saying "iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode. You must restore this iPod before it can be used with iTunes" when I clicked ok (only option). It says in bold letters "iPod recovery mode" then as a subtext it says "your iPod software is up to date. iTunes will automatically check for an update on 1/14/2013" then there are two options one says "Check for Update" the other says "Restore iPod...".
So does that mean my iPod is ready to sell? Has everything been deleted? What does the "Restore iPod" mean/do? Would it restore all my songs and apps and stuff like that?
Also, with my ipad it says the same exact thing (my old one) but it says the name of the ipad is "iPad". I pushed the "Restore" button on my computer while the ipad was plugged in. So does that mean all the data, music, photos, apps etc was successfully deleted?
