So when I went into the settings area. I pushed the reset and pushed erase all content and settings. Does this make it ready to sell?

you need to do a full factory restore using itunes
that settings button does remove all your settings and data but not personal settings and stuff,, restore using itunes and wen its done on your screen it wil show a picture of a cord connecting to the ipod and it will say connect to itunes
that is how you will know all your personal data etc is gone because the new person will have to set it up with their itunes/computer

It says that now when I reset it from my iPod.

I would have restored to factory settings, but you should be fine. If it's an iPod Touch double check the browser doesn't have anything saved since you didn't restore to factory.

I'm locking this thread due to an almost identical one here (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=162517).
