I don't remember having done it, but I appear to have stiched around my own arm. The thread is about 2mm thick, and is about 5mm under the surface. any ideas for how to get it out?

I would guess you would have to unstitch it - pull the thread out. sounds damn painful =/ Might be best to go to A&E - risk of infection and all that.

But then I'll get in loads of trouble when they tell CAMHS.. And I've tried pulling it through, it's kind of stuck. Only thing I can think of it cutting it out, which I obviously don't want to do.

If it does get infected then you run the risk of something pretty serious. I dunno, I would say its worth keeping safe and getting in trouble for it.

Good luck dude, hope it will all turn out ok, you're doing the right thing! Getting into trouble could last a few weeks at most, and infected arm could last a hell of a lot longer and cause much more pain!

"2 peoples seperated by a common language".

What are you saying here? That you sewed your arm?! Is 'stitched' one of those Brit-speak terms that we Yanks have no clue about? Or does it REALLY mean you sewed your arm?! How on earth did that happen?

If you did, do NOT attempt to remove the stitches on your own, the damage you do pulling them out can be greater than putting them in. Go to the doc immediately, before they get infected or soething weird happens like you grow a sock there or something!
