I am a bit confused about this, sometimes when I stand up, my legs/lower torso feel weak and my body feels heavy, and I have to go fall back on my bed or the couch until I feel normal again, so I can get up. Has anyone else experienced this? :what:

What you described sounds like something that is fairly common, called in the medical field, "Orthostatic hypotension." It occurs when someone gets up too quickly from a sitting or laying position, and happens because of the sudden change in blood pressure needed to accomodate switching from a lying/sitting position to a standing position. If it only happens sometimes, then it's actually normal and very common. I've had it happen, and I know a lot of others who have too. If you'd like to know more about it, here's a link that explains it a bit more:

One thing to note is that if you make sure you stay hydrated, you'll find it happening less often. It's nothing to worry about! :)

yes i did shortly after quitting smoking.
but i dont know if you have ever/are a smoker so i cant say that for you
as for the dizziness it might be the fact that you have been sitting for a long while and you got up too fast and your body isnt able to process all the blood flow to your lower limbs right away. i think alot of people experience this because when your sleeping or sitting down your blood stays in one area usually around the brain. it still pumps everywhere else but not like when your standing/walking etc
just try to not get up so fast next time and you should be fine
also dehydration/hunger can tamper with your bodys feelings too so keep hydrated and make sure you eat.

Definitely this! Being dehydrated adds to the issue, and I've started drinking at least a gallon of water everyday.

Diabietes can also be a possible factor, if you are overweight you might want to check it out

its a weird feeling when it happens to you. It seems you are light headed when on your feet and suddenly you collapse without cognisant control to the floor or onto the bed for several seconds.
