from what i have seen it is doesn't really depend on how big your dick is, altho that definitely helps. it is more about how skinny you are and how much you can bend your back. i think it's impossible for fatter people to self suck. of course it's okay for straight people to do. those are some lucky freaking straight people!! i am skinny but can't bend enuf. the most i've been able to do is just lick the tip and even then i have a sore neck for a while after so for me it's not worth it. oh and when i say "from what i have seen" i never saw it in person lol. just videos i found online when i was trying to figure out how to do it myself.

well, i can self suck, only the tip, and i am not a skinny dude, i am quite fat. You just have to be flexible. i have a friend who is as fat as hell, and he could self suck if he wanted to, He can touch his toes. It is awesome though
