View Full Version : Hair won't stay up

Hey guys,
Lately I've been experimenting with my hairstyles. I used to wear a fohawk/sideswept-ish style. Now that it's getting windy and I'm outside more during break, my hair simply refuses to stay up and it hardly takes a couple seconds for my head to turn into a bird nest.
I've seen guys who can effortlessly spike their hair up and keep it stiff for hours and hours, without losing the texture of their hair at all. Mine's definitely gotten more coarse in the last couple months.
I currently use a high-strength Giovanni styling gel and top it off with a firm hold spray.
Any advice? :what:

Mmm Schwarzkopf. I've definitely seen their products around before. How long is your hair and how much volume? It's starting to annoy me, I look good in the mirror and shitty the moment I step outside!

Elmers glue? Or watered down Elmers glue? Ya know, its white, orange top and got a cow as the logo. You take some, mix it with a little water, and then use it to make a 3' tall mohawk.

Lol not sure about a 3' tall mohawk, but what is its texture like? Where do you find it?

Ive never done it and so I dont know what it feels like, but imagine your hair just normal but rigid cause of the glue. Elmers glue, probably find it at Walmart or any craft store. Hardware store too.

I feel your pain dude. My hair kinda curls in random places and it isn't moveable, it just kinda sits there if I don't do anything to it so it looks really bad sometimes. I don't use fancy stuff though, so that's probably why. Just usual gel and wax I get at the pharmacy. So I wouldn't recommend those haha

I just use my shitty waxes and gels and hate my hair most of the time. But I wouldn't recommend that.

If you havn't tried it already you should try Gatsby styling putty, keeps my hair solid as a rock even in the windy and rainy weather :) don't put too much product in your hair or it just gets "heavy" and loses it's hold overtime and will go like you said, a birds nest - finish it off with plenty of hairspray usually the garnier bamboo strong hold stuff works best either that or tresemme - yes - womans brands but who's caring now-a-days? :P
