This is a song I wrote a while back. Let me know what you think- constructive criticism is welcome.
Black out the white from day to night
Smoke out the purity.
Prove they were right and choke out the light
Show the side we did not want to see.
I thought you'd be smart enough to see
The wicked intention of their call
It cuts so deep into me
How quick it took for you to fall.
I tried so hard, to believe
that you weren't, so niave
