Sig Problem

Currently the limit of lines I can have in my sig is 10. But my sig is currently only 4 or 5 lines and if I add anymore it says it's over the limit of lines :/

It's done that to me a lot before, too- obviously not right now, but like a monthish ago.

Sometimes if you clear the entire signature then save it then afterwards add what you want, it works.

Nope, didn't work, also if i add about 3 more words i go over the 1000 character limit, because of all the code (GRR!)

Did you make the sig from scratch or did you just copy and paste?

I copied that text but i hat to reformat it all and add the pictures again, so apart from typing it, yeah.

Yeah I meant to start completely from scratch. When i used to have a sig whenever I erased the signature then retyped everything it worked.

Let me take a look at your signature's raw data... I'll see what I can find.

Ok, I took a look. I couldn't find more than 5 lines, but the code that was generated (probably by vBulletin) was very "expensive" as far as character count goes. I took the liberty to simplify a lot of it, so you have less non-visible characters.

Now then, I looked in your usergroups. You're primary usergroup is: Global Moderators. Your secondary usergroups include: Diary Owners, Registered Users, and Privileged Users. Below is a list of the maximum lines each usergroup is allowed to have in their signature.

Global Moderators: 8
Diary Owners: 8
Privileged Users: 10
Registered Users: 8

You are in Privileged Users, but your primary usergroup is Global Moderators, so that might be the cause of your problem.

Try adding one line at a time to your signature to see if it limits it at 8 instead of 10. If it limits it at 8, I'll see if I can come up with a workaround.

Ok I've completely redone the whole thing and coded it better it's now 719 characters with spaces along with the extra content, so all is well now! It wouldn't let me have as many lnes as this before either, i can put spaces inbetween the lines instead of putting hidden letters too now!

If I add any more, it says "Your signature contains too many lines and must be shortened. You may only have up to 10 line(s)."

But there's only 8 lines lol.

Hmm... That's very odd. I'll have to investigate this further. Though I'm going to try to wrap up my internal restructuring and then hit the hay. I'll look into this more tomorrow.
