Okay so i havent cut for the past few months. Lately its been hard but i tried doing something my ex girlfriend (grrr...) use to do. When she wanted to cut really badly she would draw what she wanted to do in her notebook. I tried doing this and it actually makes you feel like you did it! Lately ive been feeling a lot better! Has anyone else ever tried this??:whoops:

Drawing and writing are big ways to help someone get their feelings out without cutting, when they're recovering from self harm addiction. I'm glad that you found it works for you, that's really great! :)

Hmm also try this... Draw whatevers bugging you. Like the person that called you a bad name or whatever. Then cut the paper. I have a picture of the kid that bullys me and I give it a good scratch whenever I want to cut myself because of what he said.

I used to write down everything I was feeling when I really wanted to cut, which is the same. I've tried to draw how i'm feeling too.
Red pen works sometimes too. Drawing on yourself I mean.

I do this too! It helps me express myself since I'm not good with expressing myself verbally.

When I want to cut. I just go write about what has aggravated me or made me depressed. I also used to draw.

I've drawn red lines on my wrists and wherever I wanted to cut
I've also tried snapping an elastic. Both worked for me :)
