Firstly I'm not saying i don't do this just pointing it out. This has got nothing to do either with my religious or moral views

Recently I've heard countless programs and radio shows where adults talk about there exposure to porn when they were younger and the most they mainly got was a few mags and mayb a few soft porn videos. Now through these videos one was able to learn all thats need to know in a a somewhat normal and non degrading fashion. Nowadays the internet is filled with countless variety's of pornography ranging from 'normal', weird, disgusting and out right illegal which seems to be impacting our generation (i speak as a fairly open minded 16 year old who is trying to look at it from different perspectives ) here are a list of possible impacts

1. Many types of pornography turn women into a sex object whos role is to be submissive and be 'sh*ged' in life. You only have to look at different on-line social groups now to see a modern view of women..even if it may be a joke

2. From viewing the 'exotic' or 'illegal' pornography one will expect something odd and not done in real life from there husband or wife. Marriages may break down due to odd demands or unrealistic demands in there sexual relationship. If one is also having normal sex with there partners and are expecting something exotic they will be unsatisfied even if there demands are unrealistic

3. Porn addiction. One can access porn 24/7 and practicably anywhere in the world which may cause a problem and even a attachment to pornography. It may even take over ones life

4. Girlfriends or Boyfriends. Even before marriage relationships or social life may lack due to pornography, Either by unrealistic images of women/men or of detachment from the world from addiction to pornography

5. Desensitising sex, private parts of our body. Through pornography sex has become something casual and not something private between two human beings. Secondly the human body has become something to show of 24/7 with no sense of privacy in this generation. Should such private things really become public ?

People who argue it is normal may be right as it has become the 'norm' in today's society but it is defiantly not natural. Having such a extreme and fake collection of sexual activities is not natural and only an invention of modern life. Of course a teenager will be interested in sex and the human body but this mode is defiantly not the natural manner of discovery

So as a teenager I'm asking you to think with an open mind if you've been affected in any of the ways mentioned or others. Just interested to see if anyone else thinks the same thing

When you put it that way it makes porn downright horrible. What I get from this proclamation is that it strips away the image of women,(pun not intended) destroys social contact, and evil. Its not that. It only becomes that if you let it be. For some people its the first introduction into sex and all that stuff so the natural response is to watch more of it. Now I've watched porn and it can become addicting because it just is. You have to have a type of middle ground and if you don't then you're screwed. Find that middle ground and you're good. Porn isn't what the media makes it up to be but you can't have too much of it.

Yes, I agree with all of this and more. In fact, I was reading something earlier today about how porn perpetuates rape culture. Here's the quote: TW for misogynistic language, themes and generally it's just gag-worthy

Embedded in porn are numerous other myths, all of which seek to present sexual assault as a consensual act rather than an act of violence. One way to illustrate this is to select examples from porn that reinforce the myths:

RAPE MYTH: Women don’t know their own minds; men know better what women really want and need sexually.

PORN EXAMPLE: “Lystra is homesick and wants to move back to Korea. Professor Lawrence… knows what’s best for his best students-like his cock inside her moist, little hole.”

RAPE MYTH: A woman might not want it at first, but once she gets a taste of hot sex, she can’t get enough.

PORN EXAMPLE: “Katie was a bit reluctant at first but after two hard cocks stretched her tight ass wide open she screamed with

RAPE MYTH: Women are by nature sexually manipulative.

PORN EXAMPLE: “Jaclyn Case is pretty smart about how she tricks boys into coming over and giving IT to her. She’s also pretty specific about how she wants her pussy serviced.”

RAPE MYTH: Women are sluts who get what they deserve.

PORN EXAMPLE: “Gia is a nasty little whore that can’t seem to get enough cock. We make sure this slut gets what she deserves and more!”

RAPE MYTH: All women are whores at heart and want to be fucked by any available man.

PORN EXAMPLE: “Vanessa might seem like a sweet girl, but deep inside, she’s a whore wanting big white dick.”

Hi
sorry for the late reply didnt get a notification
Yes of course it can be a natural introduction but my argument is that its an entirely wrong introduction and can be bad even in small doses
I completely agree with taking the middle ground as i believe that at the stage society is at there no going back
But im also arguing from an ideal aspect which really shows that porn is down right horrible :P

Hi
wow yes thats an important factor i did not think about
Now that i think about it this is true in alot of pornography
So do you think its affected you...if youve watched it?
is there a way to mend the damage thats been done to society?

What would be the correct introduction to this bruhaha called sexuality.

All the points don't necessarily affect a person but instead society. Can you truely say that though?

Yes I can truly say that. At least where I live, I can't see it much in youth society anyway. I don't know people who disrespect girls my age really, sure there are some but we can't blame that just on porn, you can't blame all murders on GTA.

hiiii

yes of course not. So if you were at a party do you think people will be much more 'liberal' in where they would have sexual encounters ?

And the Mayan calendar ended and it's the end of days. Wait...then how am I writing this? Meaning, there re more chances to see porn, but I can't imagine getting addicted unless you already have an addicted brain, if that makes sense. I have watched porn but I dont need it to get off, that's what boys are for. :P

At a party yes, but doesn't that happen everywhere? Of course, if the girls were wearing full length shoulder covering gowns it wouldn't happen. It's not all the males fault;)

To start, their* instead of "there" in the first line of point 2.

More importantly, I agree and disagree with this. I agree with the main point of how the amount of porn in the world could corrupt a person relatively easily, this is if you watch all of the things without any outside information. I personally have the experience and have for quite a while that these scenarios in the pornography are far beyond realistic and you have an extremely small if any chance of have any of this happen to you.
